Developed through a partnership agreement between SINOTRUK in China and a premium, well known German truck manufacturer, the first SITRAK model was introduced at their joint trade fair stand in Jinan. The brand entered production in 2013.

SINOTRUK and its German partner have collaborated on two main levels: capital investment and the transfer of technology and management expertise. In 2009, the German partner invested 560 million euros in SINOTRUK and acquired a 25 percent stake plus one share. The transfer of technology and management know-how is based on a contract signed by both parties for the granting of technology licenses.

Through this high-powered cooperation, the truck platform, engine, chassis, and axle technologies for the SITRAK series were developed. The localized truck series is produced at SINOTRUK’s manufacturing facilities and surpasses all other Chinese made trucks in terms of performance and quality. SITRAK competes directly with European trucks on both quality and capability.

SITRAK trucks are built in state-of-the-art production facilities to exceptionally high-quality standards. High volume production and rapid prototyping help reduce costs, which are passed on to the customer.

The vehicles are manufactured to European quality standards and feature advanced engine technology and an efficient driveline, ensuring low emissions and reduced fuel consumption. Parts and service costs are typically lower than those of equivalent European vehicles, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership.
